Have you ever wondered what your baby already knows before they're born? The journey of learning doesn't begin at birth—or even at conception. Your baby's soul has been observing, experiencing, and absorbing information about you, your family, and life on Earth long before their physical body begins to form. Understanding this profound connection can transform how you experience pregnancy and motherhood.
Today, I want to share more about how and what babies learn from you before and during pregnancy.

The stage before conception
Before the souls of the children-to-be are ready to be your baby, they spend time in their homeworld, the world where all souls are. They actually learn important things there, Which I will adress in another post. In this post I focus on what the baby learns from you and your family before it's born.
Before the soul of your child-to-be will decide that they will come in your life as a baby, children-to-be do a kind of 'internship' with their new mother. They make themselves known to their mother (because we aren't taught this, many women miss this) and follow their mother through normal daily life. The children-to-be are still only souls at this stage and are invisible to most adults. But many small children do see the new souls and love to play with them.
During this phase, a child-to-be learns a great deal about life on Earth, about the mother and the family. Everything the mother experiences, the soul of the future child also experiences. This includes all emotions. In this way, a future child learns much about norms and values, how people are and think, what expectations exist and how life generally is.
The beginning of pregnancy
When the child decides it's time to come to Earth, pregnancy begins. During pregnancy, the child-to-be develops energetic bonds with the mother, for example through chakra cords. Through these bonds, the child receives information from the mother. The child can feel all emotions and thoughts. That's an enormous amount of information that a child receives, so the child will filter the knowledge that is relevant for her in the start of her life, or later on.
Learning through cellular memory
The child also learns through the cells that enter the child through the placenta. All cells possess cellular memory. Through this memory, cells know what their task is, and therefore the child can create a healthy body. But people also store emotions in their cells. Babies therefore also receive information about all the emotions stored in their mother's body. Often these are traumas or intensely beautiful moments. These can also be traumas from the mother's parents. This is how trauma is passed down intergenerationally to new children. These traumas can even cause the body of new children to not function properly.
What this means for you
In short: children know everything that has ever happened in your life. They have already learned so much before they are born.
This knowledge is both humbling and empowering. It reminds us that our healing journey isn't just for ourselves—it's also a gift to our children. When we address our own traumas and emotions, we create a healthier foundation for the next generation. Your baby is already listening, learning, and connecting with you. What a beautiful opportunity to welcome them with awareness, love, and intention.
