Invisible connection - The energetic bond between mother and child
Updated: Sep 11

During the first cycle, until about the seventh year, your child is energetically connected to you. This happens through special chakra cords that link your auras together. It usually doesn't matter how far away your child is from you physically; your child remains connected to you. Only in the case of prolonged emotional distance or a very great physical distance does your child form a primary bond with another caregiver. If another caregiver frequently cares for your child, the child develops an energetic bond with both you, the mother, and that caregiver.
Sometimes distance does matter. If your child is sick, for example, she heals faster if she stays physically within your aura. Your child can then easily use your energy to heal. Your aura forms a safe haven for your child. I've noticed that when you cuddle up close to your child while she's sick, childhood illnesses are sometimes gone within a few hours.
Your aura as protection and regulationYour aura not only protects your child against illnesses, but also against energetic influences from other people and against your child's own negative feelings. Your child uses your aura to regulate her own emotions. If your child is overflowing with emotions, you as the mother feel those same emotions in your body too. If your child is overtired, she uses your energy to get through the day.
I didn't know this myself when I became a mother, which made parenting extra difficult. When I felt irritated, I thought those were my own irritations. It turned out, in the end, that it was actually my child's irritation that I was feeling in my body. From the moment I recognized this connection, I started handling my emotions differently. If I felt irritated out of nowhere, for instance, I would first check on my little one to see if something was irritating her.
What can a child perceive through the mother-child connection?
The connection between your auras has another function too. Your aura is an energy field in which information is also stored. In the first seven years, as a mother you share all your feelings, thoughts, emotions, loves, sorrows, and even physical pain with your child, and vice versa: your child shares this with you too. This happens automatically. It isn't something you can switch on or off. It's one of the ways young children communicate with their mother.
This connection arises automatically and is a survival mechanism of young children. Children use this connection to let you know what they need to survive. For example, they indicate whether they're hungry or thirsty. The connection between the auras is also used for real problems. Young children then consciously send information to their mother with a request for help or with information. Mothers often describe this information as "a feeling." We also call this mother's intuition.
I once had physical pain in my arm, for instance. I had noticed that my daughter wasn't quite using her arm properly anymore, but the doctors couldn't find anything. Because of the pain I felt, I knew something was really wrong. Thanks to her "information," I went back to the hospital; it turned out she had a bone infection.
What does your child already know and sense?
I often hear adults say they don't want to share certain information with their child because they're "still too young for it." As you've already read, young children are already unconsciously aware of everything through this connection. Sometimes they don't fully understand the information, but they do know that something is going on.
In difficult situations, young children can often tell me clearly what they want, think, and experience. They're flexible and can handle quite difficult or intense situations, as long as you're honest and talk to them. If you hide something or lie about it, you lose part of your child's respect. She then realizes she can never fully trust you. Once your child has "learned" this and embraced it as truth, there's a chance it will remain her belief for the rest of her life.
What changes in the mother-child bond around age seven?
During the seventh year of life, your child releases your aura. It's no coincidence that the seventh year marks the end of the first cycle and the beginning of the second. By then, your child has an aura strong enough to protect herself. From that moment on, your child is truly independent for the first time, and only then does she really develop her own identity.Your child may therefore change in her seventh or eighth year of life. A person's aura influences their personality. Because of your connectedness, your aura influences your child's aura. So your aura influences your child's character and emotions, just as your child's aura influences your personality.
It's not uncommon for the release of the aura to happen within a single day. The cords connecting you are then, so to speak, cut. After being cut, new bonds form again; these create a new, less intense connection. Sometimes you notice your child responding to this directly, by reacting "differently" than you're used to. Sometimes your child releases your aura over a longer period. The connection then gradually becomes "thinner"; it shifts more toward the edge of your aura. You'll notice that you're slightly less "in tune" with each other. If you're sensitively attuned, you can feel this letting go.
After the seventh year of life, the renewed chakra cords continue to exist, but on a different level. The energetic connection then continues the way people are generally connected to one another.
